The play “Chasing Two Hares” in Rzeszów 12 November 2026
The legendary Ukrainian comedy *Chasing Two Hares* is coming to European stages in a vibrant musical production—featuring brilliant humor, live music, songs, romantic intrigues, and a unique Ukrainian flair.
This familiar story, beloved by generations of audiences, comes to life in a modern, dynamic theatrical format. At the center of the action is Svyryd Golokhvosty, a charismatic adventurer who decides to settle down with two brides at once. The plan seems flawless, but very quickly turns into a series of comical misunderstandings, unexpected encounters, and situations from which it’s almost impossible to emerge unscathed.
Pronya, Golokhvosty, and other beloved characters are lively, spirited, funny, and incredibly recognizable. It has everything we love about this story: sharp humor, love, adventure, music, and the genuine energy of Ukrainian theater.
The production features renowned Ukrainian artists, including People’s Artists of Ukraine Anatoliy Hnatiuk, Tamara Yatsenko, and Oksana Pekun, as well as other prominent figures of the Ukrainian theater scene.
Over two hours of a true theatrical celebration, laughter, and emotion.
