The play "Chasing Two Hares" in Brussels 29 October 2026
The legendary Ukrainian comedy *Chasing Two Hares* is coming to European stages in a vibrant musical production—featuring brilliant humor, live music, songs, romantic intrigues, and a unique Ukrainian flair.
This familiar story, beloved by generations of audiences, comes to life in a modern, dynamic theatrical format. At the center of the action is Svirid Golokhvosty, a charismatic adventurer who decides to settle down with two brides at once. The plan seems flawless, but very quickly turns into a series of amusing misunderstandings, unexpected encounters, and situations from which it’s almost impossible to emerge unscathed.
Pronya, Golokhvosty, and other beloved characters are lively, spirited, funny, and incredibly recognizable. The play has everything we love about this story: sharp humor, love, adventure, music, and the genuine energy of Ukrainian theater.
The production features renowned Ukrainian artists, including People’s Artists of Ukraine Anatoliy Hnatiuk, Tamara Yatsenko, and Oksana Pekun, as well as other prominent figures from the Ukrainian theater scene.
Over two hours of a true theatrical feast, laughter, and emotion.
Better than the movies—because this time, your favorite story unfolds right before your eyes.
“Chasing Two Hares” is a show you’ll want to see with friends, parents, and loved ones—to spend a lighthearted, fun evening and reminisce about your favorite lines long after the curtain falls.
The project was created and presented in collaboration with the First Theater “Antrepriza” and “Komedia,” Comedy Space Production, and the “Colosseum” Production Center.
