The story "Viy" was written almost 200 years ago. It got its name from the name of a demonic creature from East Slavic mythology - a demon with large, drooping eyelids, because of which he is unable to open his eyes himself. The one at whom Viy looks, awaits instant death. The protagonist of the story, Khoma Brutus, a student of the Kiev seminary, sent three nights in a row to read prayers over the dead witch, is well aware of this. But to resist the demon and the evil spirits serving him, the frivolous bursak who loves to drink and eat good food is not able to. Horrified, he dies. But is it only from fear? To answer this question and will have to each viewer who came to see the play "Viy, or the Terrible Mystery of Gogol".
This performance in the style of horror is a new stage version of the legendary story, which thanks to its deep meaning has not lost its relevance today. It is not easy to frighten a modern audience. But the impressive staging, the eerie scenery on stage and the actors' heartfelt performance will not leave anyone in the audience indifferent. It will be not just another mystical story, but a complete immersion into the inner world of man, a journey into the most secret corners of his soul, which can be saved only by correcting the flaws and getting rid of vices.
Do not miss the opportunity to visit this performance. A grandiose performance and a lot of emotions are waiting for you!
