Varvara Shmykova in the play "Broken Hearts Club".
Theater and film actors Varvara Shmykova and Nikita Elenev in the main roles. Reflections on the essence of love with references to modern and classical works of fiction and poetry.
A frank and honest conversation about love between the actors and the audience, in which each spectator will be able to see a part of himself. Varvara Shmykova and Nikita Elenev together with the guests of the Broken Hearts Club will go through the joys and pains of human relationships, inspired by great texts about love. Perhaps this evening it will be possible to get closer to the answer to the main question: What is love?
The performance includes texts by Michel Houellebecq, James Joyce, Veronika Tushnova, Robert Rozhdestvensky, Nikolai Zabolotsky, Ivan Bunin, Alexander Ostrovsky, Vera Polozkova and other authors.
"What to put on a play about these days? The answer is simple. Only about what is so badly lacking in a world that is obsessed with battles. Love! Art has not yet found a method to speak of the global not through the personal, for it is created by man. To talk about love in the world, we should first of all talk about the love inside us" - Alexander Rubtsov, collab.am.
