What does it mean to search for your place in a world that isn’t always ready to accept you?
What happens when the path to one’s own identity becomes a journey through fear, loss, migration, and the need to start life over?

“City Flower” is a documentary-style one-woman show about self-discovery, the price of freedom, and the right to be seen.

At the heart of the story is a transgender woman whose personal journey is marked by experiences of alienation, social rejection, forced changes, and a constant struggle for the right to be herself. Her story is not just the story of one life. It is the story of thousands of people who face discrimination, misunderstanding, and the need to rebuild their futures.

The play raises issues that are becoming increasingly significant for European society today:

• the right to identity and dignity;
• the visibility of transgender and queer people;
• the consequences of migration and forced displacement;
• the impact of war, violence, and social isolation on individuals;
• the search for home, safety, and community.
   

Through documentary text, original music, visual imagery, and physical theater, “City Flower” creates a space for dialogue, empathy, and an encounter with experiences that often remain invisible.

This is a performance about pain and hope. About fragility and inner strength. About how even amid concrete and asphalt, a flower can bloom.
