Magic of Miyazaki in Prague. Voice of Japan 27 March 2026
This evening, Japanese conductor Kotaro Kimura and soprano soloist Satoko Ota will perform on stage. Accompanied by a symphony orchestra, they will perform the best works from cult animated films by Hayao Miyazaki and composer Jyo Hisaishi.
The program will feature music from legendary anime films such as "Gone with the Ghosts", "My Neighbor Totoro", "Princess Mononoke", "Laputa: Castle in the Sky", "Kiki's Witch Delivery Service" and other beloved films.
The music will take you to the world of magical forests, mysterious cities and incredible adventures. In Miyazaki's films it plays a special role - it creates the atmosphere, conveys the characters and fills every moment with real magic.
Under the baton of Kotaro Kimura, the orchestra will bring these stories to life and the enchanting soprano Satoko Ota will give them a voice. The instruments will tell of the sound of the sea, the rustling of the trees, the flight of the wind and the breath of a fairytale world.
The concert "Magic of Miyazaki. Voice of Japan" is a musical journey into the heart of Japanese culture and animation art that will be remembered for a long time.
