She sang from the bottom of her heart, and her voice was like a violin soaring through time...
The story of the legendary Kvitka Tsysyk—a woman who not only enchanted the world with her unique voice but also courageously fought for every day of her life. Her love for music, her family, and her distant homeland of Ukraine became a source of inspiration and strength for her.

The play tells the story of the time when Kvitka began recording her famous album of Ukrainian songs, into which she poured all her love and deep attachment to Ukraine.
The events surrounding the singer’s battle with an incurable illness lend the play a special sense of drama. Doctors give her only three months to live, and KVITKA rushes to finish the work into which she pours her entire soul...
The play premiered on April 4, 2018—her 65th birthday—at the theater in Vinnytsia.

About the theater:
The M.K. Sadovsky Academic Regional Music and Drama Theater in Vinnytsia is the largest cultural institution in the Vinnytsia region.
Each year, the theater hosts approximately 250 performances, attended by more than 60,000 spectators. The theater features a main stage and a smaller stage for audiences of all ages, where performances of various genres are staged.
The theater was built in 1910 by architect Grigory Artinov in the Art Nouveau style.
Since 1940, it has operated as a musical and drama theater.
In 1957, the theater was named in honor of the renowned Ukrainian figure Mykola Sadovsky.
