AIGEL is an electronic duo of Tatar poetess and singer Aigel Gaisina and St. Petersburg producer Ilya Baramiya, which has become one of the most distinctive independent musical phenomena in Eastern Europe.
AIGEL's sound is dark bass electronics, shamanic rave, industrial textures, ethnic ornaments and emotional vocals combined with powerful storytelling in Tatar, Russian, English and German.
The viral tracks "Tatarin" and "Pyyala" brought the band worldwide fame. The latter topped the charts of streaming services in 25 countries and the world top of Shazam in 2024. The band's music videos have won international awards including the Berlin Music Video Awards and Cannes Lions.
Since 2022, the band AIGEL has been banned in Russia due to anti-war statements and is based in Berlin.
From August to October 2026, the band will embark on a European tour with a new concert program featuring new releases and major hits.
